Re: Re new 35 1.5 TFSI Engines

So my car spent two weeks with the dealer. After which I was told that their systems could detect no problem. I was however told that Audi in Germany know there is an issue and are working on a solution. It must be a complex fix given the time it is taking!!!

Does anyone have one of these? What do you think. Would you buy another one. I’m thinking of trading up from my troublesome 35 tfsi.

Re: Re new 35 1.5 TFSI Engines

I’ve booked the car in for a week of tests. Interestingly there was no info about the problem on Audi’s systems. Also I was told that they do not pay any attention to any fora. So as far as that Audi dealer is concerned there is not a general issue. The car is going in at the end of July, I’ll post ...

Re: Re new 35 1.5 TFSI Engines

Well I was wrong. Full tank, left the car for a week. Last night in an air temp of 30 degrees and the car had been in the sun all day I started the vehicle for the first time in a week and immediately drove off. The car kangarood like mad for 15 seconds, the worst it has ever been. Fine after that. ...

Re: Re new 35 1.5 TFSI Engines

Well, I agree it makes no sense but, I drove around with one or two cold starts yesterday and the usual jerky first few seconds were there. I filled up the tank this morning. This afternoon I have been out again and, could be a fluke, but the car was fine. I’ll try again tomorrow when the car is rea...

Re: Re new 35 1.5 TFSI Engines

I’ve just had a fascinating discussion with a salesman from Audi who I bumped into on one of his days off. In other words this is not an official view. He said that they are aware of the problem and it’s due to fuel pressure. There has been no official solution from VW but their mechanics in their g...
