Re: Oddly mottled window seals

Hello This is how I cured mine, it looks like the rubber is raw and you need to build up a water resistance in it. Clean once with Q2M Prep , this is an oil and grease remover. After each wash dry runners with a fibre cloth. Treat rubbers with Autoglym Vinyl and rubber care after each wash until you...

Re: Q2 servicing costs

I had my old A3 serviced at Audi Doctor in Stockport, provided an invoice with all Audi part numbers.

Ex Audi/VW tech, never had an issue and I voluntarily terminated the PCP and the finance company didn’t bat an eyelid.

All the other cars in the vag group with this engine are suffering badly with this, V...

Re: Living with Q2 as a family car

Mine is long grown up so I don’t have to worry about these things.
However I’ve just swapped from the latest VW Tiguan and find the Q2 a dream to drive, it all seems so easy and relaxed, yes it’s smaller but still a good size for everyday life.

Re: Winter rims?

No doubt a winter setup is better and provides good grip in the snow. I had them on my A1 and it was a good investment. I’m not sure on my Q2 as I now just work from home if it snows. The Audi route is the most expensive, lots of online wheel dealers will offer a better cost using 3rd party wheels, ...

Re: Squeaking and rattle

The only slight squeak I have if from the drivers seat base, I can get rid of this by raising the seat slightly. Other than that mine is noise free and I’m at 2.5k miles. I’d guess they think it’s a rubber that will break in, I’d pressure them and ask them to demonstrate it on another car, if they c...
