Re: Spare Wheel or not?

My S-Line Q2 came with no space saver wheel, but it did have the foam insert/jack and tyre repair foam with pump. I have 18" tyres and therefore bought the 18" Q2 spare wheel from wheelshop.co.uk -£125 (after choosing to disregard the repeated advice to go with 19" on this forum!) So the 18" space ...

Re: Spare Wheel or not?

Thanks for the reply, Graham. My Q2 runs the 18" alloys, and I would want a compatible spare with the narrow tyre for lower floor position and room for the round tool holder. Did the spare you recently purchased meet these criteria? If so, I'd be grateful if you could share the product code. Thanks...

Re: Spare Wheel or not?

This is so confusing. So does the space saver wheel and/or tyre differ depending on original wheel size? Or is there just one space saver size for all wheel configurations? An eBay search lists an 18 and 19 inch variation. The Audi 'original equipment' space-saver spare is definitely 19". An 18" wh...

Re: Spare Wheel or not?

Is there any consequence in using a wheel with a larger bore. Presumably it'll still go on? Yes the wheel will go on, but keeping the wheel 'centred' would rely on the bolts alone. The weight of the car could put too much lateral stress on the bolts, especially if the wheel hits a pot-hole for exam...

Re: Spare Wheel or not?

The spare wheel spec for all versions of the Q2 is the same as for an A4 (2008-16) or A5 (2008-17). The tyre spec is T125/70 R19 100M. These space- The actual wheel spec is different, the A4/5 (B8 chassis) is 4x19 et 29 the Q2 is 3.5x19 et15. The A4/5 has a centre bore of 66.6 and the Q2 has a 57.9...

Re: Spare Wheel or not?

I got a Q2 Sport from new, and like yours it had no spare wheel, but on mine the tools were in a compact round styrofoam insert designed to fit inside the rim of a spare wheel. It was held in place with a central floor-mounted bolt and wheel-nut which would also secure a spare wheel. I bought a whee...

Re: MMI connect App won't ..... connect!

You've sent a destination from your phone via the MyAudi app, and you've now exhausted what you can do by way of connecting the app to the car - at least on the model that you and I have. Actually, your phone is not connecting directly with the car, it's sending data via the Audi Connect server. Oth...

Re: Sim card instalation

I don't think this can work the way you want, if my understanding is correct. I assume your intention is to continue to use the Audi Connect services that you had during your 3-month trial. But this is not just about a data connection, you also require a subscription to Audi Connect services as such...

Re: SatNav

Can anyone advise please? I have the standard SatNav in the Q2 1.4 Sports. Is there a way I can force the SarNav to to give a route using a specific road? Eg I want to go from Leicester to Manchester via M1, A50, A500, M6. SatNav offers three routes none include the A500 to J16 of the M6. From Leic...

Re: SatNav

Yes you can do this, by setting a place on your preferred route as a Stopover. You start by entering your final destination and accepting the satnav's route so that route guidance becomes active. Now return to the Enter Destination process and use your preferred method to select the desired intermed...
