Re: Battery cover

The battery should be covered by a fabric cover. Its a weird contraption that folds in on itself.

Re: Edition 1

Been making changes to the interior. I always felt the door cards were too plastic and always intended to retrim them (well part of them at least) in alcantara. Along with the alcantara I added carbon door handles, door pulls and switch panels to tie in with the rest of the car. The stitch matches t...

Re: Audi Q2 front side grille removal

They are held in by clips.....lots of them. You might need to take the bumper off to access them all. The silver part will have the 'male' clip which has a return lip on the end that stops it pulling out of the black part. Its hard to explain the technique but you need to push the 'male' clip back a...

I've just had mine changed under warranty, Audi/VW have had a bad batch of MLA MOLL batteries, there are loads of cars/vans affected.

Re: Service costs

I always buy all of the parts from TPS, I save a small fortune, the total parts cost from TPS is significantly cheaper than Audi charge for the oil alone.

Labour as said above is the main cost, I believe Audi charge £140 per hour labour which is daylight robbery quite frankly.

Re: Spare Wheel or not?

Is there any consequence in using a wheel with a larger bore. Presumably it'll still go on? The wheel sits on the flange of the hub and that is what carries the weight, the wheel bolts merely secure the wheel to the hub. If the wheel bore is bigger than the hub bore then the wheel will not site cen...

Re: Re: Living with Q2 as a family car

Two kids (a one year old and a four year old) and its just big enough, boot space isn't that big and put a buggy in and its full.

Love it though.

Came from an SQ5 which had so much more space.

Re: Front Bumper / grill removal

Yes, I've had mine off, its held on with many torx screws and some 10mm nuts, just a case of removing them all then pull the corners out where it meets the wings and then pull it off. You'll need to disconnect the parking sensors (if it has any) and the headlight washer hose.

Re: Apple Car Play

Mine did the same but I think its the USB connector under the arm rest that is the issue for me. I plugged the cable into the USB port by the 12v charge point under the dash by the cup holder and it works fine. Check if this works for you as it could be you have a damaged USB port also, Doubt it is ...
