Re: My new q2 2.0 tdi 190

To remove the gear gaiter you need to pull it upwards, I always start at the long side closest to the gear indication side, pull it inwards then up and it will come out, just work your way around. It is tight but should come out easy enough. To remove the centre piece you want to wrap you need to li...

Re: High beam assist,

Best place to research what is needed IMO is Kufatec They list needing these parts https://www.kufatec.com/en/light-sight/interior-mirror/interior-mirror-with-high-beam-assistant-hba-for-audi-various-colors-to-choose-from-40063 one of the wiring sets depending on what exactly you want the mirror to ...

Re: My new q2 2.0 tdi 190

Hi Tony

The part number for the Q2 12v socket is 4M0919309C

Its on diagram 919-090 on ETKA for reference.

Couple for sale on ebay from Lithuania or the usual sources of TPS or Audi.

Get some pics up of your install once done, sounds a nice retrofit

Re: Wing Mirror Cover- same as Q3?

New shape Q3 is the same mirror cap so yes it will fit.

The covers themselves aren't too expensive from Audi or TPS though

Re: Quattro grille?

Yes all require the bumper off, most don't have a modular bumper though like the Q2 and most are simply bolted to the bumper from behind. The Q2 is bolted but then also the bumper sections are clipped to the grill and its a fiddly procedure to dismantle the whole lot. This is my custom grill which i...

Re: Quattro grille?

I will add that fitting a grill is a long process, the way Audi put the front of the Q2 together is crazy, the bumper is made up of the two side pieces and the strip under the grill. All the pieces clip together and are held in one big jigsaw by the grill so you have to strip it all down to change t...

Dumb question alert 🤣

Is the sub in the boot already not a powered one ?
Yes it is but the caballing is insufficient to power an aftermarket amplifier to then run an aftermarket sub.

Re: Audio upgrade

Not my first thought to run power cable under car. Why not.....its how Audi do it when the battery's are fitted in the trunk to get power to the front of the car. There are plenty wires that are under the car for various applications, not to mention the brake lines, fuel lines etc. Run it along the...
