Re: EFB+ battery

The new Yuasa battery is fantastic. The car now starts in a split second! I thought that 3 or 4 cranks were the norm but obviously not. The old battery only measured 12.2v today. It doesn't take a 24 hour diagnostic, plus reams of online evidence, to work out that it was a dud. But that's the world ...

Re: EFB+ battery

If only all dealers were the same................. Although they couldn't replace my faulty battery they did kindly send me a nice video (as they did a few weeks ago during my service) telling me in detail that the tread on my tyres was good, as were my brakes. I have ordered a Yuasa replacement sto...

Re: EFB+ battery

Knowing that there was an issue with the 2017 VAG Moll batteries I checked my own and could only charge it to approx 50% capacity. The stop start hasn't functioned for ages and I know that this is a symptom. I called my dealer to ask if they stocked batteries and what the price was but they more or ...

Re: Delays in delivery?

Audi customer service txt me this morning, confirmed build week 15. 😀 How long does it take once the building starts? Once the build starts it could be on the ship within 10 days, but that's usually where it all slows down! I'd guess that it will be in the dealership for prepping 7 weeks after the ...

Re: Q2 auto Hold Break

My letter came a few weeks ago, just before the car was booked in for a service anyway.

I hadn't previously noticed any problems with the handbrake and, after the update it feels exactly the same.

Re: Q2 servicing costs

To be honest, I don't know, but I'd just choose one local to you and give them a call and ask specifically about softwear updates.

Re: Q2 servicing costs

A good independent is a much cheaper option. Most will state on their websites that your warranty will be unaffected as they use approved parts. Most large towns and cities have several - here's the first one that I found, just as an example. http://audivwrepairspecialist.co.uk/vw-audi-service-glasg...

Re: Q2 servicing costs

Yes, the services are over-priced for what they are. On the plus side, 2p per mile doesn't sound too bad.
