Re: Re new 35 1.5 TFSI Engines
After a lot of deliberation I decided not to have another Q2 because of the uncertainty of the 1.5 engine. Had it still got the 1.4 I would not have hesitated to have another one. Yesterday I traded in my March 2017 1.4 sport for a new VW T Cross R line DSG, Size wise it’s not that smaller, and come...

Re: Service reminder
I had to ask myself the same question last March, when my car had similar mileage to yours. The words ‘service 01, appeared now and again on the main screen. Because i don’t do a lot of stop and start town miles I opted to ignore it, and waited until the 2 years was up before giving it a service. Th...

Re: Re new 35 1.5 TFSI Engines
The T ROC does share the same engine,, the car I’m changing to is the new T CROSS with a tried and tested 1.O engine with a DSG. gearbox.
115 bhp. 0 - 62 in just over 10 seconds compared to 8.5 seconds for the Q2 but I will have to live with that

Re: Re new 35 1.5 TFSI Engines
You may have found an answer of sorts., but sadly too late for me. I have been following the saga of the 35 1.5 engine for months, as I planned to replace my March 2017 Q2 1.4 Sport with an R line later in the year. The Q2 is the best car that I have owned, so I looked at the options: Go for a 30 1....

Re: Annoying rattle
It may be the rear seat back rest behind the drivers seat. Search the forum for Annoing rattle and knocking sounds! https://www.q2forums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=930 Try driving over rough ground with it in the down position. Cured mine by wrapping a 2" strip of tape around the locking bar to take ...

Re: Annoying rattles and knocking sounds!
I'm pleased that my discovery about not locking the seat back rest in has helped. As suggested by Argyle I wrapped a piece of strong Gaffer tape (1" wide x 2" inches long) around the catch and it's now fine. Ok, I may have to replace it at some point, but it's a 2 minute job and I seldom lower the b...

Re: Annoying rattles and knocking sounds!
I have the same model as you, and took delivery in March 2017. I also have a rattle coming from the rear. In an effort to trace it I emptied the boot completely, and laid the split seat back rest down, and slowly reinstated and went for test drives. I discovered that the knocking returned when I lif...

Re: Q2 Puddle Lights
I to was surprised at the absence of a glove compartment light, and that it didn't have a vent linking in the air con. Also no map reading lights, lights on the sun visor vanity mirror, or pockets on the back of the front passenger seats. The interior lighting is poor unless you have the optional LE...

Re: New Black Edition
That's true, The level of standard equipment on the T Roc is impressive, and the cost for the same extras are so much cheaper. I'm thinking that the rear view camera for instance is proberably the same, as they share so many parts. My latest fad was to think about the new T Cross, as it gives me the...

Re: New Black Edition
I priced up the T Roc Sel with the extras I wanted, and yes, it was three thousand pounds cheaper, with even more as standard. When I purchased my Q2 in November 2016 for delivery March 17, the spare wheel was £100, it is still £100, but you cannot buy it without buying a jack for £25. It is tandard...
