Re: How common is the 1.5 TFSI engine problem?

It’s safe as long as you’re aware of the issue! The worst that can happen is that occasionally the engine might stall when pulling away from a junction or roundabout. I would suggest taking this up with your dealer, and check that the software update has been applied at the factory - I would be surp...

Re: How common is the 1.5 TFSI engine problem?

The last thing Audi needs is a pile of class action lawsuits and claims for compensation - hence keeping it ultra low-key and apparently describing the issue as “a slight judder”!! Anyway, I’m glad to be getting the fix before winter arrives up here in the frozen North.

Re: How common is the 1.5 TFSI engine problem?

I heard from my dealer today. The service manager had to do some digging to discover the patch - it would appear that Audi are treating this as a low-key rollout, and the dealership hadn’t been aware of the issue until today. I suspect that in most cases the patch would have been applied as Q2s arri...

Re: Re new 35 1.5 TFSI Engines

That’s good news! Did the software fix have a particular name or ID? I’m just thinking ahead to Monday when I call my dealer, and their response (based on past experience of VAG dealers) is likely to be “Fix, what fix?”.

Re: Re new 35 1.5 TFSI Engines

An update on the updates... The final post on this page of the Skoda forum suggests that a second software update seems to have fixed the cold start/kangarooing issues, at least for one driver. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/465281-karoq-software-update-progress-report/page/10/?tab=comments#c...

Re: New member and possibly away to buy a Q2 today

The capacity of your fuel tank is 50 litres, so taking an average price for diesel as 133.0p per litre, the cost of filling up from empty would be £66.50. You might want to find out the cost of diesel from a filling station near you to get a more accurate figure. I can't comment on your mpg with die...

Re: Second hand Q2 from a non-Audi dealer / high mileage?

I use the long term memory to monitor fuel consumption - resetting every time I fill the tank.
