Hi, all.

I've recently bought a new 2021 Q2 1.4 Petrol from my local Audi dealer. For some reason, Audi refuses to spec the Q2 in my region (the Caribbean) with the VC option. However, all the other components required for the VC (MMI, steering wheel+buttons, etc.) are specced and installed on the vehicle. I'm planning to retrofit the VC in the near future but I'm having a lot of difficulty figuring out the correct P/N for the facelift Q2 VC.

From research it seems the P/N for the Q2 VC is 8V0920790 but I've also come across a few VC's with P/N 8V0920790X with X being the rev number (usually A, B or C).

Can anyone assist with determining the correct P/N for my Q2?

Do you have MIB II High? If not I don't think VC works

As for the part number, best bet is to find a car in your region and give that detail to your parts department, as its going to be hard to determine without it.

My parts catalogue shows at least 8 variants of the VC!

In the UK there is component protection on parts like VC which without specific software will never work in the car as a retrofit, do you have a specialist who can remove the component protection? Do they not have any guidance on the part number needed.

Might be worth dropping Kufatec an email to see if they can offer any advice.......they may only sell you a VC unit though.

Thanks for the reply. MIB II High is installed and component protection can be removed by my local dealer.

I've tried going through them to order the part but the feedback from my local Audi dealer is that Audi Global wont spec the VC for the Q2 in my region (dealer tried and got denied), so they won't sell them the part. The dealer more than happy to do the coding if I get my hands on it but can't help with the ordering.

I'll try my luck with Kufatec and see if I get any leads. All the VC's I'm currently finding for sale are from salvage jobs or test cars and the KM's are high so trying to get new OEM if possible. Also not sure which rev of the VC is the best bet for my Q2 so still searching.

Yes new would be best as you can only adjust the mileage/KM forward not backward so the changes are your car will appear to have more miles/KM on it that it actually has!
