Hi,
Read today in a car magazine about a dealer in York charging a customer what they call a 'provenance' fee. This is a charge to check the history of the part exchange they are putting against a new car. In all the years I've been buying cars, this is a new one on me as the dealer pays this fee before the car is sold to a new owner, never the existing owner of the part exchange car. I guess this is another way along, with the 'administration' fee that has also crept for the dealership to make money.
