I drive a 2017 Q2 Sport 1.4 Steptronic. On two occasions now I've had a very brief warning light/sign/sound on the dashboard, while driving. Problem is that the warning has been so brief (fraction of a second) that's its completely disappeared by the time I've looked down at the virtual cockpit screen to identify it.

I know its not the pre-sense, as I can recognise that easily without looking.

Thought it might be the tyre pressure warning, but I recently checked tyre pressures and reset the values.

Car drives just fine - very smooth and quiet. Done just 20,000 miles. MOT due next week, so will mention it to dealer. However any thoughts you have will be most welcome.

Brief short circuit somewhere, poor electrical connector somewhere, ground connection, etc. Can be anything. The error should be saved in the diag memory so I would start from there. If there's no diag error tape your phone in front of instrument cluster and record the warning on video

Personally I would get a partner, friend to keep an eye on it or stick a camera in position to record for a while. Is it cold there? Sometimes my sensors ice up and give a brief warning that they aren't available, but once the ice is cleared it is fine. Are you sure also that it isn't the seatbelt warning bong/noise that comes on when you start he car? I think it warns you that the passenger airbag is on and working. Having said this you did mention driving so prob isn't that. Not really sure! Out of guesses!!

Thanks for all your comments. Will keep an eye on things. I do occasionally leave a heavy bag on the passenger seat, but presumably that would only trigger a seat belt warning? Will ask the dealer to have a look at the diag memory, in the hope that an error/warning has been stored. Thanks
