Last summer, Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann announced plans to introduce a new electric vehicle by the end of 2018. The executive didn't have much to say about the car but a new report is indicating it will be based on the Audi Q2.
According to Autobild's sources, the car will eschew the Q2's 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine for an eco-friendly electric powertrain. There's no word on performance specifications but the magazine is reporting the car will have a range of approximately 93.2 miles.
Expect a few aero dynamic styling tweaks too including new grills, bumpers and wheel trims.
