I've bought some car seat covers but am having trouble removing the headrests to fit them. The user manual isn't a help.

It's probably something really simple, but I can't see a way to get them off!

Some other Audi models show videos going down the back of the seat to release or lifting the plastic washer on the metal legs of the headrest but doesn't seem to work on a Q2 - any ideas?

Hi,

You need to press the side button located on the plastic cap that sits on the top of the seat back, hold this in and pull the headrest up as far as it will go. Then use a thin bladed screwdriver in the slot on the other plastic cap on the top of seat back - you should see a thin opening. Then while holding the screw driver in (don't force this), and pressing the button, the head rest will come out.

Is page 59 in the handbook, but they may have changed the numbering with the later editions.

Thats what I thought but there doesn't seem to be a thin opening on the seat back, thanks anyway.

Hi,

I guess you are looking at the fronts, and me not asking, I was thinking you meant the rears. Sorry my fault.

Have a look at the video that's for the A3, and that model has the same headrest setup as the Q2.
