Altenator/ volatage regulator

Post by Weeksy » Tue Apr 27, 2021 7:26 pm

Audi Q2 1.6 TDI. The voltage regulator seems to be failing. Does any one know if it's possible to change just this or is it a new alternator?
Thanks for any help.

I have had the car checked and the voltage while running tops out at 13.42. Does abby one know if this is correct?
Thanks.

I would say that is a bit low, it should be around 14V.
I do not know if you can change the voltage regulator without replacing the alternator.
