Leaving for a while?

Just bought a new Q2 [July this year] but we plan to leave it outside for more than two months early next year [Winter] whilst we travel abroad.

We've done this in the past with other makes of car [Merc, Suzuki] and have disconnected the battery lead. When we returned, both cars have started well.

My query is, what is the best way to do this with a Q2? I need to make sure the car doors are locked before I open the bonnet to disconnect the battery. Anyone got any bright ideas on a practical way to do this? Presumably it would then be possible to unlock the car on my return using the key prior to releasing the bonnet and reconnecting the battery lead?

Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thank you

I would simply attach a charging lead to the battery and leave it sticking out somewhere so that you can charge the battery when you get back, just in case it needs it. It probably won't though.
