Crusie control

Post by rosco » Wed May 02, 2018 4:30 pm

Just checking the standard equipment for a 1.4TFSI Sport manual and in the configurator it says the standard cruise is controlled by the radar sensor to maintain a set distance to the car in front ie brakes and accelerates accordingly. Is this so? if correct doesn't seem like any point having adaptive cruise on a manual? Any owners confirm the configurator is correct.

Incorrect.

I have 1.4 TFSI Sport manual with standard cruise control, it works like any normal cruise control

There are two types of cruise control: normal and Adaptive. It depends on the options you choose. But I don't know if Adaptative is available with manual gearbox and how would it behave.

I have adaptive with a manual... great for motorway driving. Cruise control does not disengage when changing between gears 3-6.

Thanks. I figured as much. looks like the UK configurator is wrong. They should really tighten up on this as it is quite misleading not just ambiguous!

see screen grab!
